The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has directed Nyanza region County Directors of Education to allow their Sub-County Directors to attend a training on Safeguards for the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQIP) training.
This directive was in line with the implementation of sub-component 1.1 and 1.2 of SEQIP.
In a memo dated the 18th of October 2022 copied to all County Directors in the Nyanza Region, the Nyanza TSC Regional Director Stephen Ajanga stated that the program is non-residential and shall run from the 24th to the 28th of October 2022 at the ARC Egerton University.
“This is therefore to request you to release TSC Sub-County Directors for the workshop,” read part of the memo.
The training is intended to ensure that there is the provision of quality and inclusive education as a fundamental right.
Besides, Ajanga instructed County Directors to ensure that all TSC Sub-County Directors are able to participate in the programme.
