The Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA) has invited primary school headteachers to attend its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is scheduled to take place at the Sheikh Zayed Children Welfare Centre located in Mombasa.
The KEPSHA AGM is set to be held between the 3rd and 9th of December 2022.
KEPSHA National Chairperson Johnson Matheka Nzioka said through a letter dated the 15th of June 2022 said that the meeting with the theme Managing the Transition of Competency-Based Curriculum for Effective Nurturing of Each Learner’s Potential will give the primary school administrators an opportunity to bridge the knowledge gap, promote research esteem and evolution of education.
Primary school heads will be required to have Kshs. 46,000 out of which Kshs. 6,000 will be remitted to the respective Sub-County offices as a conference fee.
The deadline for making the payments has been set for the 30th of October, 2022.
KEPSHA has 23,000 heads of institutions with some being heads of private schools.
The annual KEPSHA meetings give members the chance to discuss issues that are affecting them like the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), delocalization policy for teachers, teacher shortage in schools, and promotions among other issues.
