Private Schools Seeking Views Ahead of Presenting Their Report to the CBC Review Taskforce

The Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) has revealed that it is preparing to forward its recommendations to the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER).

While attending a meeting to brief Nyanza Regional caucus members in Kisumu, the KPSA chairperson Charles Ochome, who is also the Golden Elites Academy Director, revealed that what concerned the members was how the transition to Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) would be done.

According to the Chairperson, they would issue recommendations on pertinent issues concerning tertiary, basic and Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) levels of education.

However, Ochome warned against those politicizing issues of parents in rallies. He said that the views of politicians in rallies do not actually represent the views of parents.

He pointed out that the CBC was very expensive yet the government had not issued instructions on parents buying any items.

Among those who attended the meeting were KPSA members from Kisumu, Kisii, Siaya, Nyamira and Migori.
