The Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary (PSSB) Application is for Candidates who scored 250 marks and above in the Kenya Certificate of Primary School Education (KCPE) examination.
The Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary (PSSB)
Candidates who sat for the KCPE examinations are eligible to apply for the schorlaship as they get ready to join high school.
The Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary (PSSB) was established in 2013/2014 Financial Year to support orphans and children who are vulnerable in secondary schools.
This scheme is a contribution by the government towards complying with the legal requirements as the Children’s Act 2001 section 7 (1) stipulates, and also as a complementary service to the Cash transfer – OVC programme.
The bursary scheme is intended to boost secondary school enrolment, attendance and completion by the Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Kenya.
The PSSB is administered by the Children Department Headquarter and in all constituencies in the country.
Students who are eligible are urged to apply for the bursary to receive funds during this financial year.

You can get the application forms from the various children departments’ office in sub-counties across the country.
The amount a candidate can apply for is up to a maximum of Ksh. 30,000 per year.
Requirements
The requirements for application for the Presidential Secondary Schools Bursary (PSSB) are as follows:
- Candidate to have 250 marks and above.
- Be a total Orphan.
- Possess a death Certificate for both parents
- Birth Certificate for applicant.
- Fee structure
- Public secondary school (boarding).
- Calling letter to a secondary school.
