Mount Kenya University (MKU) has received an ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System certification award from the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
According to MKU’s Chairman of the University Council Prof David Serem, the ISO Certification is set to allow the growth of quality education in the university and other learning institutions in Kenya.
The ISO certification is also going to ensure that quality service is provided within all systems and processes used across all campuses schools and offices in the university within the country or even internationally.
MKU has campuses all over the country and offers Marketing and Open, Distance and e-learning (ODeL) modes of learning both within Kenya and abroad in the East African Region.
“Moreover. Other partner institutions will desire to collaborate with an ISO Certified institution,” said Prof Serem.
The certification ceremony was held in Kiambu led by Eng. Zachariah Lukorito, the KEBS Standards Development and Trade Chief Manager.
