The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced great news to all Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates who sat for the national examination between 2000 and 2021.
The placement service informed all students who sat for their KCSE between 2000 and 2021 yesterday that there are around 300,000 slots available that are to be filled.
According to a statement issued by KUCCPS on Thursday, all interested candidates can apply for placement to diploma, craft and artisan certificate programs for the January 2023 Intake.
“All KCSE certificate holders who sat the examination from the year 2000 to 2o21 and have not benefitted from government sponsorship for TVET training are eligible to apply where they meet the minimum requirements,” read part of KUCCPS’ statement.
According to the stamen, applicants now have between Friday the 7th of October (today) and the 16th of October to submit their applications.
Minimum requirements for applicants were also revealed for grade D- (minus) or lower is required for the Artisan Certificate Course.
The requirements for Craft and Certificate Courses stipulate that an applicant must have a mean grade of D (Plain) or higher while for Diploma Courses an applicant must have a C- (Minus) or higher.
Procedure of Applying
Interested parties are required to visit the KUCCPS website via the link: www.kuccps.ac.ke, and access the portal.
Personal information is required to log in to the system which includes your KCSE index number, year or enrollment and password.
Your password can be either your Birth Certificate number or your KCSE Index Number.
Once you have logged in, you can select a maximum of four courses ranging from the ones your most prefer to the ones that are relatively least interesting to you.
After doing this you click on the ‘Submit’ button.
