The PS of Education has given out the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair KSEF 2020 Calendar of events.
The KSEF activities, which are purely academic will jump-start the year 2020 with a teacher’s workshop in January.
2020 Kenya Science and Engineering Fair National Workshop
Nyeri County in Central region is the official host of the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair National Workshop scheduled between the 17th and 19th of January 2020.
Participants for the KSEF workshop will arrive at the venue on the 16th of January 2020.
The two-day workshop will then start on the 17th and run to the 18th of January.
On 19th the participants will vacate the workshop venue.
Kisumu to Host 2020 National Kenya Science and Engineering Fair KSEF Competitions
Kisumu County in Nyanza Region will be hosting the 2020 Nationals of KSEF competitions.
The KSEF national competitions will take place between the 13th and 18th of April 2020.
Over 800 participants drawn from all the Kenyan Regions will unite to showcase their inventions in the County.
All participants will arrive in Kisumu on the 13th of April 2020.
National Exhibition will run for 4 days from 14th to 17th.
Results will be released and winners in various KSEF categories announced on the same 17th.
Some of the best-selected items will have an opportunity to display their science projects in the Young Scientist Kenya Exhibition in August.
Departure from the Venue will be on 19th April 2020.
2020 Young Scientist Kenya Exhibition to be Hosted at KICC Nairobi
2020 Young Scientist Kenya Exhibition will take place in August 2020 at Kenya International Conference Center KICC in Nairobi.
Ministry of Education has outlined the 3rd of August 2020 as the arrival dates for the exhibitors.
4th to 7th will be the real action dates for the exhibition.
Exhibitors will depart from the 8th of August 2020.

The Young Scientists Kenya Exhibition is an initiative of both the Ministry of Education and the Ireland Government. Also, it is supported by BLAZE of Safaricom and other partners.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is the patron of Young Scientist Kenya YSK.
2019 Young Scientist Kenya Exhibition Winners
The winners of Young Scientists Kenya 2019 were SCLP Samaj School, from the Technology Category with a solution to the Universal Health care system. The presenters were Iyad Anwar Tahlar & Tanvi Vijay Hirani.
The 2019 YSK Awarding Ceremony was graced by H. E Deputy President William Ruto.
Besides the cash prize, the overall winner in 2019 Young Scientists Kenya won a chance to travel to Ireland to participate in the BT-Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in January 2020.
The winners further awarded full scholarships, courtesy of Strathmore University.
