Joy as Trans-Nzoia County Absorbs 800 ECDE Caregivers on Permanent and Pensionable Terms

On Monday, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya promised to give priority to Early Child Development Education (ECDE).

He revealed that this will be done through the absorption of all 800 ECDE Caregivers on permanent and pensionable terms.

Governor Natembeya revealed this when he presided over Jamhuri Day celebrations that were held at Amani Primary School in the Chepchoina ward in Endebes sub-county.

“There is a need for improvement of infrastructural development in our schools besides my government striving to go an extra mile in increasing capitation and manpower to improve the quality of learning for our children,” said Natembeya.

The Governor also promised to work together with all the elected officials to achieve the development of the county.

He called on cooperation from all political entities in Trans Nzoia County, saying that those who supported legal lawsuits to derail his plan should reconsider their actions.

The Governor revealed that his Government has brought back the Nawiri Fund.

He also implored the Agriculture Development Corporation’s administration to reconsider its objectives, saying that local people have not gained any social corporate responsibility terms.

Natembeya rebuked the harassing of NPR security personnel who had been harassing villagers searching for leftover maize.

The Governor was also supported by Robert Pukose, an Endebes representative in his statement.

The Deputy Governor, Philomena Kapkory called on parents not to neglect their parental duties and warned parents against practising Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

A local County Commissioner, Mathias Rioba warned that individuals who took advantage of and impregnated school girls will face the full force of the law.

In attendance at the event were members from the County Security Committee, County Executive Committee and ward representatives.
