How to Join and be a Member of Kenya ECDE Trained Eye Teachers Association TETA

Early Childhood and Development Education ECDE teachers can join and become a member of the Trained Eye Teachers Association TETA by paying a membership fee of Ksh. 200 to Mpesa Business number 522522, Account number 1240801831.

After Mpesa direct subscription, you will receive a KCB payment SMS. Forward the KCB SMS with your personal details, i.e., full name, ID card number, County, to 0719653729 Mr. Shadrack Kioko, who is the TETA National Secretary. You will then receive your TETA membership number.

The Ksh. 200 is a one-time membership fee. However, there will be a monthly contribution of Ksh. 100 monthly.

Trained Eye Teachers Association TETA was officially registered on the 14th of September 2018 by the registrar of Societies in Nairobi, under section 10 of the Societies Act.

Objectives of the ECDE Teachers Trained Eye Teachers Association TETA

The following are some of the outlined objectives by the Trained Eye Teachers Association TETA for the Kenyan ECDE teachers.

  1. To promote and encourage equal opportunities for all ECDE teachers in Kenya to develop to their fullest potential in achieving the desired goals.
  2. To seek and obtain legal advice and any other assistance on any matters affecting the members, hence promoting, advocating, and protecting the rights of all members.
  3. To provide a platform for ecde teachers in Kenya to dialogue on important national and international issues that affect their membership.
  4. To participate in making education policies in liaison with the ministry of education and other relevant stakeholders.
  5. To co-operate or work with County Governments, National Government through MOE TSC, KICD, and other relevant institutions.
  6. To build the capacity of all ECDE teachers through seminars and workshops, both locally and internationally.
  7. To sensitive members on HIV and AIDS, Cancer, drugs/substance abuse at the workplace/home.
  8. To enhance implementation of the competency-based curriculum, hence promoting quality services for learners, by overseeing adherence to the guidelines in ECDE at the Counties.
  9. To offer assistance and encourage members to form/join savings and credit societies, burial and benevolent funds, academic institutions, land buying companies, and or any amenities to improve their economic ventures.
