The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) have started an employee contest to develop in a bid to develop a new vision, mission and logo.
Initially, the contest was conducted between the 9th and 30th of September 2021 but it was not a success with none of the entries meeting the criteria for selection. Because of this, the contest was annulled and fresh invitations have been announced.
Therefore, TSC has re-advertised the contest and provided the selection criteria and timelines.
Who is eligible to participate?
- Teachers from both private and public institutions of learning including those from the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), Kenya Institute for the Blind), CEMASTEA and Teachers Training Colleges.
- Learners or trainees from both public and private secondary and primary schools.
- Basic public and private learning institutions
- The TSC Secretariat

Minimum Requirements for Mission and Vision Statements Competition
- An entry can be done in either Kiswahili or English
- An entry must include a vision and mission statement
- Three entries are the maximum that can be considered for each participant.
- Include a brief explanatory message for both vision and mission.
A copy of;
- Basic Public/Private Leaning Institution: Attach School Registration Certificate from the Ministry of Education;
- A Teacher: Must attach TSC Registration Certificate
- A Learner: Must attach an Introduction Letter from the Principal or Head teacher
- Secretariat Staff: Must attach an Introduction Letter from the Director or Head of the Division
Filled and signed Self Declaration Forms;
- Declaration That the Submitted Design Shall Belong to and Remain the Property of the Service;
- Self-Declaration That the Person/Tenderer Is Not Debarred in The Matter of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015.
- Self-Declaration That the Person/Tenderer Will Not Engage in Any Corrupt or Fraudulent Practice
- Entrants should provide their full names, postal addresses, physical address, email and daytime telephone numbers.
What is the reward for the Vision and Mission Competition?
The WINNER will get a sum of Sh. 30,000, the runners up will get Sh. 30,000 and the third-placed position will take home Sh. 10,000.
Minimum entry requirements for TSC Logo competition
- Three entries at most for each participant
- Logo to clearly communicate and demonstrate what TSC stands for in a creative and innovative way.
- All symbols, colors and wording used in the logo must have an assigned meaning
