The Cabinet Secretary for Information and Communication Technology, Innovation and Youth Affairs Joe Mucheru has assured that the national examinations have not been leaked.
Mucheru oversaw the opening and distribution of examination materials at the DCC grounds in Kajiado Central on Monday.
“This examination has not been lead. We will ensure that children receive the examinations from 8:30 a.m. even if Kajiado is a big County. There have been no rains and we are happy and we are going to complete the exercise in a safe environment and get good results,” said CS Mucheru.
In addition, Mucheru applauded parents, teachers and other stakeholders in the education fraternity for ensuring continuity of learning even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are very happy as the government that despite the COVID-19 period and the challenges we have faced, our children have stayed in schools and still have the chance to sit for their national examinations. It is crucial that no year has been lost. Thanks to our stakeholders,” said CS Mucheru.
CS Mucheru appreciated the government’s efforts in ensuring gender parity in Kajiado for this year’s KCPE examinations and praised the efforts made by the county’s stakeholders of education.
