RE: KILIFI COUNTY MINET MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDERS
Following earlier discussions and agitation by KUPPET Kilifi Branch officials to have public hospitals in the Minet Panel.
We are happy to announce to you that the much-awaited Kilif Teaching & Referral Hospital is now on the Panel in addition to Malindi Sub-County hospital Teachers are advised to directly access outpatient, inpatient, and maternity services from these hospitals.
Our KUPPET Executive Secretary today visited the facility with a colleague who was well attended to by use of Minet cover. We will always continue engaging all our stakeholders to ensure that teachers receive quality medical services.
On Monday 2nd August 2021 the Executive Secretary visited Mephi Hospital Kilifi to assess the facility and held a meeting with the hospital management team. The following recommendations were reached.
- There will be a waiver of KES 50.00 co-pay for outpatient in the facility.
- The quality of medical services to our members will be of good standards all the time.
- No member will be required to pay cash in the facility.
- All members seeking inpatient services will be attended to in semi-private wards.
- Any member who may face any challenge in the facility to contact the hospital administration for assistance.
KUPPET Kilifi Branch officials are committed to visit the management teams of all our medical service providers and discuss the best ways to improve the quality of services offered to our members.
We will also endeavor to attend various forums to discuss all the grievances raised by our members and look for amicable solutions.
