The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC)’ 2-6-6-3 system designed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has been gradually phasing out the outgoing 8-4-4 system.
In this article, we provide all details on how the CBC is organized right from pre-primary up to senior secondary. We will also list all the core subjects offered in the new curriculum.
The CBC is divided into five levels as follows.
