The Kenya Education Fund and Albinism Society of Kenya (ASK) issued the funds together with shopping to Winnie Jelimo. Winnie received lip care, sunscreen lotions, and protective clothing from society.

Former Jubilee nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura who is also the chairperson to the ASK, revealed that Winnie is going to join Kapkenda Girls High School.

“She will report to Kapkenda Girls High School since it is near her home and also enable her dad Simon to visit her often.

“Many men abandon their kids with albinism at birth, but he did not and has stood with her other younger sibling with albinism,” wrote Isaac Mwaura.

The young girl had secured Form One slots at Thika High School and Kapkenda Girls High School for the visually impaired.

The former Nominated Senator also implored other learners going through the same problem in their lives to never give up because help can come their way.

“It does not matter what you go through. Jelimo had to be rejected five times for this opportunity to come through. So don’t give up.”

“As a leader, the greatest secret is to obey the voice of God, no matter the prevailing circumstances. Then, leave the rest to Him. All that I did was to obey the call, and He did the rest,” added Mwaura.

The girl’s father was elated while speaking to the media thanked Mwaura for coming to their help when nobody wanted to help.

“Mwaura called me and inquired about our story. We informed him about our ordeal, and he promised to help.

“A few minutes later, he called back and told me to organize a trip to Nairobi with my daughter because he has secured slots for her,” said Winnie’s father.

Kipruto also revealed he had forgiven the principal who had denied her daughter’s admission just because of her condition.
